October Heritage Festival
October in Dunedin means Heritage Festival. A series of events, ranging from walks (real and virtual) to Pecha Kucha talks, will be held during the month - each of them designed to celebrate Dunedin's rich heritage and inspire both visitors and residents to engage with it.
City Walks has been showcasing Dunedin's heritage since 2006, so for us October will almost be business as usual. Our regular suite of guided Walks will be offered this October, with one additional incentive: children (U18) may walk with us free of charge.
We've always offered low child rates, because we think it's important to encourage families along on tour - and there's much for children to enjoy and learn on our walks. Since 'Growing Heritage' is the theme of this year's Heritage Festival, we're going all out to win the hearts and minds of young people - who are tomorrow's heritage advocates.
It's important to book your City Walks tour. Do so via our Contact page, or at the Dunedin i-Site. See you on a walk, or at one of the other events!
